10:00 Reading - Reader: Beth Jones

From Luke 23:46 - "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."

From Ecclesiastes 12:7 - and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

From John 14:1-4 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

Prayer: Father of the body, soul and spirit, may we not forget from dust you gathered us and to dust we will someday return. But we thank you for the works of your Son on the cross when He committed His spirit to you, as a guide for us to follow Him. And Lord, we anxiously await the day when our Saviour comes back for us. In His name we pray. Amen.
