9:45 Reading - Reader: Robbie Roach

From Psalm 22:6-8 - But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people. All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads: "He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him."

From Luke 23: 35-36 - The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, "He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One." The soldiers also came up and mocked him.

From Psalm 22: 9-11 - Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast. From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God. Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.

Prayer: Father of the scouraged Saviour, may we endure the pain and suffering during our trials as your Son showed by His example on the Cross. Let us always be aware of your presence in our lives, that we may be strengthen by knowing you are there in times of need. In Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
